Sundays are special.
For some of us, it’s church and family time. For some, it’s rest, laundry, or catching up from the week. For all of us, Sunday can be a beautiful reminder: You get to start fresh.
Not just with your home — but with your heart.
A Sunday Reset doesn’t mean scrubbing your whole house. It means creating small steps that help the week feel lighter, calmer, and more organized. Here’s a simple, realistic way to reset your home — and yourself — before Monday comes.
1. Start with a “Heart Reset”
Before we jump into cleaning, take a moment and breathe.
Say a small prayer.. Play worship music. Meditate. Sit with a cup of coffee. Read a verse. Or just sit in silence.
Sometimes your spirit needs attention before your home does.
When your heart is calm, everything else feels easier.
2. The 15-Minute Pick-Up
Set a timer. Just 15 minutes.
Have everyone in the house do: laundry off the floor trash picked up toys into baskets dishes into the sink blankets folded counters cleared
It’s quick. It’s simple. And it makes a HUGE difference.
You can even make it fun with music, a race, or “who can pick up the most?” ( I LOVE this one)
3. Tidy the Kitchen First
A clean kitchen changes how the whole home feels.
Do what you can:
Wash or load dishes
Wipe counters
Clear the sink
Light a candle
Not perfection — just progress.
4. Reset the Living Room
This is where family gathers, so start fresh:
Fold blankets
Fluff pillows
Pick up clutter
Sweep quickly if you need to
10 minutes here can change the mood of the whole house.
5. Prepare the Week
Choose one or two: Pack school bags. Lay out Monday clothes. Write meals for the week Make a small grocery list. Look at your schedule. This prevents Monday morning chaos — and gives you a sense of control.
6. Give Yourself Grace
If your home isn’t spotless… If you didn’t get through every room… If you only completed half the list… You did enough. A home doesn’t need perfection to feel peaceful. And you don’t need to earn rest.
God gives you grace — give yourself some too.
A Short Prayer for Your Week
Lord, bless this home.Fill it with peace, protection, joy, and rest.Help us handle stress with grace, love one another, and walk into this week with strength and calm hearts.Amen.
The Truth
The Sunday Reset isn’t about cleaning — it’s about peace.
It’s about walking into a new week feeling prepared, not overwhelmed. It’s about creating order, one small step at a time. It’s about loving your home and the people inside it — including yourself.. Whether you clean for 10 minutes or 2 hours, you’re doing the best you can. And that is enough.
Welcome back to Living Clean, Living Loved.
